INTRODUCING THE RIDER’S CLUB…MAINE’S FIRST SNOWBOARD AND FREE RIDE CLUB DEDICATED TO PROGRESSING THE SPORT IN MAINE.
The Riders Club is the first and only snowboard & free ride club in Maine. The Riders Club was established as a non-profit organization in 2013 by a team of pro-snowboarders, pro-free ride skiers, professional coaches and supporters. The Riders Club has put together an outstanding community of professional athletes, mentors, volunteers, legends and great riders that are passionately dedicated to spending quality time with young snowboarders and free riders. The Riders Club is an United States Ski & Snowboard Association/USSA affiliated club. There are 1000s of alpine ski clubs & teams throughout the USA and only a handful of clubs like The Riders Club.
The Riders Club exists to serve the evolution and progression of snowboarders and free ride skiers through focused development of on snow progression, character development, and responsible citizenship. The current model and image for these sports has been underserved, and not completely understood. This has ultimately made the sport more exclusive rather than making it easily accessible to as many young athletes as possible.
Over the years snowboarding and free ride skiing, along with many other winter mountain sports, have become more exclusive to the general public; The Riders Club seeks to bridge that gap. The Riders Club is providing scholarships, equipment and a platform to unite young riders to facilitate the creation of future High School and Middle School snowboard and free ride teams. In 2012 there was over 70 High School and Middle School alpine ski teams throughout Maine, and not one snowboard club. In 2013 we were the first and only club/team focused on snowboarding and free ride skiing.
Our professionally certified coaches, mentors & volunteers help our riders build their confidence, challenge them to improve their riding, and most importantly we make it affordable.
